Our Sutherland 3rd came unstuck as they fell short against UTS North Sydney 3rd at Sutherland Oval 1 on Saturday.
We batted first and put 7/193 on the board from 50 overs. Matthew Fitzgerald made a cracking 56 off 99 balls, a well-made fifty.
In reply, UTS North Sydney 3rd passed our total, finishing on 7/194 in 48 overs. Dion Joll held our opponents' innings together with 48. Our best with the ball was Billy Konstas, who took three for 40.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon.
The team will be keen to bounce back.
