It just wasn't our day: our Sutherland 3rd fell short against Western Suburbs 3rd despite Matthew Hopkins's 35.
We posted 7/109, and Western Suburbs 3rd 5/114. Matthew Hopkins was the pick of our batters with 35 off 43 balls. Saul Spyrides played a handy knock of 30.
Credit to Harry Bowen, who made a half-century (52) for the visitors. Liam Hehir grabbed two for 17.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
Well played to our opponents.
