It was a satisfying day for our Sutherland 5th, who took the honours against Bankstown 5th on Saturday, winning by six wickets.
We kept Bankstown 5th to 224 from 46.2 overs. For our opponents, Shivam Lakade made 43 off 39 balls. Joshua Watson was the pick of our bowlers with two for 17. Bailey Parker bowled superbly for two for 22.
In reply, the group reached the target at 4/226 in 45.2 overs. Samuel Jaques was the star with the bat, compiling a great 101 not out off 116 balls with thirteen fours. Harrison Danne passed fifty on the way to 51 not out off 57 balls with six fours.
Getting that first win of the season on the board is an excellent moment for the side.
