Good news from our Sutherland DCC, who took the honours against SUCC Senior Men Metro Cup at Glenn McGrath Oval on Saturday.
SUCC Senior Men Metro Cup's innings ended at 10/112, ours at 7/392. Parth Taya led the way with a superb hundred, finishing on 158 off 449 balls. Jarvis Whyte's 132 off 292 balls was a century to savour. Will Walker returned four for 74 for the visitors.
Louis F Hogg bowled beautifully for a five-wicket haul, five for 31 off eight overs. Jock MacCallum was the main threat for our opponents, making 32.
It was a superb all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. The win was extra sweet after the visitors got the better of us earlier in the season. It's six wins on the bounce. A day to enjoy for everyone at Sutherland.
