It was a tough day out for our Sutherland 2nd, who were denied by St George 2nd in a tough outing.
Over the course of the match we totalled 198, and St George 2nd 5/294. Jared Ball passed fifty on the way to 63 off 111 balls with ten fours and one six. Joel Almond passed fifty on the way to 52 off 56 balls with four fours and four sixes. Credit to Jack Mcdonald, who claimed a five-wicket haul (five for 46) for our opponents.
Will Straker starred with the ball, taking two for 40. Adam Singleton made a polished 102 not out for the visitors, a century worth applauding.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
Chins up, everyone.
