There were smiles all round after our Sutherland 2nd got up against St George 2nd on Saturday at Hurstville Oval.
The scorecard reads Sutherland 2nd 8/205, St George 2nd 200. Jackson Shaw passed fifty for the hosts, finishing with 52. Our best with the ball was Zac Philipson, who took four for 32. Billy Konstas backed up well, taking two for 10.
Lucas Sheehy brought up a stylish half-century, finishing with 60 off 82 balls. Zac Philipson made a terrific 50 not out off 39 balls, a well-made fifty. There were also handy runs from Kobey Freer (31). Patrick Brown returned three for 29 for our opponents.
It was a brilliant all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
A first win of the season, and hopefully the first of many. Well done to everyone involved.
