There was no joy for our Sutherland 4th, who were beaten by St George 4th on a frustrating day.
Batting first, we posted 142 from 44.1 overs. Leading the way was Parth Taya with 41 off 50 balls. Joshua Sheehy provided good support with 39. St George 4th's best with the ball was Thomas Blowes (three for 13). Byron Whitbread took three for 28 for the hosts.
Our opponents reached the target at 1/143 in 24.5 overs. The hosts' best was a half-century from george Kazakonis, who made 78 not out.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. On to the next one.
